New Diet... Maybe

So, I am so sad and so confused about what to start eating tomorrow when my cleanse is "over." Basically I am in just as much pain as I was for the few years before the cleanse. And then tonight when I was telling Tim about my new diet, I realized the new diet is exactly what I was eating when I starting having stomach pain to begin with. That diet was mostly grains, legumes, brown rice, normal amounts of dairy and green veggies. I was so sick all the time, but I did lose a lot of weight.

So, I would like to start a vegan diet, but if my problem is actually Candida, then a should try the Candida diet. The diets are basically opposite.

For now I plan to start solid foods in phases:
Phase 1 -- veggies (mostly cooked), salad, sweet potatoes fries (just because I like them), carrots and avocado, hummus with celery, veggie broth

Phase 2 -- Rice, slop (beans, tomatoes, rice, green peppers), nuts and seeds, yogurt, veggie and beans curries.

Phase 3 -- Eggs, a little honey, organic chicken, more beans, apples, veggie egg rolls, marinara sauce on rice, gnocchi or pasta (small amounts), lemon, lots of apple cider vinegar for flavor.

NO: No bread, no milk, no cheese. no fruit, no salt, no peanuts, no "lots of other things like sugar and catchup"

Prune Juice Works Fast

So, I am ending my first day of a three-day juice cleanse. It is intense, but it's not that big of a deal. Yes, my intestines have been talking to be me all day, and I have had to run to the bathroom a few times. But basically I feel fine and not that hungry. I think it comes from the years of feeling like I have to pee. I am no stranger to the feeling that my insides are flooding, and stomach pain is an old friend.

I started this morning with 12 oz of prune juice mixed with 3 oz of grade juice, 2 T. of olive oil and 2 drops of lemon essential oil. I shook it up and headed for work. Then an hour later I started a routine of 8 oz. of apple juice and then 8 oz of water every hour. It got a little in intense, but for the most part I felt full and happy. My body has felt a bit weak, but I have not been as tired today as I was the last two days of normal eating. I got really cold at one point so I create a hot tea from water with lemon and ginger essential oils. Loved it.

When I got home from work, I had 4 oz of prune juice and 8 oz of grade juice with olive oil and lemon drops. I called this dinner. And I will finish the night with 8 oz of apple juice and about 16 oz of water.

Tomorrow I'll repeat the whole show, and hopefully when I do it all again on Friday, I'll feel a little more normal.

Cleansing

I'm going to do a Juice Cleanse. And then a few weeks later, I am going to do a colon cleanse. It is all a little crazy, but I think I really need it.

I have a book by Dr. Christopher. I will use his cleanse as a guide. It is highly restrictive. The part I can't do from his is the diet you have to be on after the cleanse -- it is a bit crazy. Instead I will following the solid food guidelines from other cleanses.

Before the cleanse: Take extra time to meditate, cut out meat and dairy for 4 days, cut out wheat for 2 days, buy all the juice, borrow a juicer.

During the cleanse: 16 oz of prune juice in the morning, 2 T. olive oil 3 times a day, fresh apple juice (or other juices) every half hour followed by water. (About a gallon of juice and a gallon of water each day of the cleanse.)

After the cleanse: Take major probiotics (start small and build up), eat steamed veggies, apple sauce and salad (avocado), then add brown rice, then beans, then trail mixes sans chocolate, then hot cereals, then small amounts of organic chicken, then yogurt and honey, then bread and sandwiches.

Keep off dairy, meat and eggs for at least one month.

Other parts of the plan:
Visit Dr. Remington
Get tested for Candidiasis
Buy raw milk from Huckleberry Dairy 801-808-0997
Get a comprehensive Stool Analysis
Take a IGg4 test
Take Aloe Vera Juice and ground flax seed

Instructions for a Juice Cleanse

  1. Step 1

Choose a long weekend or 3 day period when you can set aside demands on your time. Take the opportunity for reflection, reading or other forms of quiet relaxation. Ideally, it should be during the warmer months.

  2. Step 2

Prepare for the fast by reducing or eliminating alcohol, nicotine, sugar, dairy, caffeine, meat and fish, eggs and wheat from the diet. Eat mainly beans, organic fruits and vegetables.

  3. Step 3

Consume at least 32 to 64 oz. of fruit and vegetable juice during each day of the fast. Sip the juice throughout the day.

  4. Step 4

Process the fruit and vegetable juice as needed, or purchase it fresh from a juice bar at a health food store. Include fresh carrots, apples, pineapples, cranberries, beets, spinach, kale and cabbage for low-acid juices. Add green vegetables and sprouts that contain high levels of chlorophyll.

  5. Step 5

Return gradually to solid foods. Begin by adding 2 pieces of fruit to your diet, then adding steamed green vegetables the next day. Next, add fresh salad and brown rice and progress to eggs and yogurt. Add chicken, fish or meat to the diet 5 to 6 days after the fast.
